Dear Dedicated Fans of Indu,

In light of constant growth and transformation we’re improving upon the incredible creation that is already Indu.

Indu is still mantra-mixed with the synergy blend of pure essential oils and we’ve improved the recipe by switching out a few of the ingredients for a healthier, even better for the skin formula.

Here is a detailed list of the key ingredients and their wonderful skin and life enhancing benefits:

Hemp Seed Oil:  Very rich in Omega-6 and Omega-3 fats that contain gamma-linolenic acid (GLA).  It has an anti-inflammatory effect that helps to promote the growth of new cells. This is crucial in calming skin irritation that comes from conditions such as acne and psoriasis.

Grapeseed Oil:  The powerful antioxidants in grapeseed oil help to protect your skin from absorbing the full damage of UV rays.

Sweet Almond Oil:  More than soothing to dry skin, almond oil can improve complexion and skin tone. It's highly emollient, which means it helps to balance the absorption of moisture and water loss. Because it’s antibacterial and full of vitamin A, almond oil can be used to treat acne.

Sunflower Seed Oil:  A great source of vitamin E, is rich in nutrients and antioxidants, and is effective in combating skincare issues like acne, inflammation, eczema, general redness and skin irritation.

Glycerin: is great for the skin because it allows the skin to retain moisture. It can increase skin hydration, relieve dryness, and refresh the skin's surface. It's also an emollient, which means it can soften skin.

Shea Butter: High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make Shea butter an ideal cosmetic ingredient for softening skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Using Shea butter can condition, tone, and soothe your skin, especially on the face.

Aloe Leaf Extract: contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A and C, and it is highly anti-inflammatory. It can help treat burns, acne and dry skin. It may also help reduce skin conditions like psoriasis and dermatitis. Aloe Vera is a rich source of antioxidants and vitamins that help protect your skin.

Chamomile: Frequently used as a mild sedative to calm nerves and reduce anxiety, to treat hysteria, nightmares, insomnia and other sleep problems.  Chamomile boasts anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help soothe the skin, reducing redness and blemishes. It can even relieve skin irritations like eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea.

Vitamin E: helps support the immune system, cell function, and skin health. It's an antioxidant, making it effective at combating the effects of free radicals produced by the metabolism of food and toxins in the environment. Vitamin E may be beneficial at reducing UV damage to skin. It’s a moisturizer to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (e.g., diaper rash, skin burns from radiation therapy). Emollients are substances that soften and moisturize the skin and decrease itching and flaking.

Japanese Green Tea Leaf Extract:  Research studies show that both drinking green tea and applying it topically can have benefits for your skin. Not only can green tea and green tea extract help with acne and help your skin look younger, but it also has the potential for helping to prevent melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. Used topically, Green Tea Extract helps diminish the signs of aging, calms irritation, evens out discoloration, diminishes the appearance of cellulite, soothes redness and swelling, repairs damage, exfoliates, decreases the appearance and occurrence of blackheads, eliminates dead skin, dirt, bacteria, and other pollutants on the skin’s surface and decreases puffiness.

Geranium:  antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It also has antifungal abilities.  In fact, it has been discovered that geranium can be effective against at least 24 different types of bacteria and fungi!  It's very balancing and works wonders on the body, mind and spirit! It elevates the mood, so it’s good for anxiety, depression, stress and neuralgia.

Bergamot: Several compounds in bergamot oil have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. This may make bergamot oil an effective spot treatment for acne in people who do not have sensitive skin. Its analgesic qualities may also be effective against painful cysts and pimples. Commonly used in aromatherapy to elevate mood and alleviate stress, bergamot oil is said to have properties similar to grapefruit essential oil in that it is antiseptic, antispasmodic, and analgesic (pain-relieving). Some practitioners will add bergamot oil to water for use as a health tonic.

Lavender:  Can be taken orally, applied to the skin, and breathed in through aromatherapy. Lavender oil can benefit the skin in numerous ways. It has the ability to lessen acne, help lighten skin, and reduce wrinkles. Lavender affects human EEG pattern accompanied with its anxiolytic (anti anxiety) effect. It’s reported that inhalation of lavender for 3 minutes increases alpha power of EEG, decreases anxiety and brings one into a better mood.

Lemon:  Provides a dose of the free radical fighting antioxidant vitamin C, which helps keep skin even-toned and helps boost the body's immune system. Lemon can be used as a skin astringent as it helps motivate your pores to close and your face to tighten resulting in smoother skin.

Tangerine: A Natural stress buster. Tangerines can help deter negative feelings of stress and anxiety by producing neurotransmitters that help calm the nerves and encourage a continuous good mood.

Ylang-Ylang:  boosts one’s mood, reduces depression and alleviates anxiety, lowers blood pressure, decreases heart rate, stimulates oil production in the skin and on the scalp, repels flying insects and kills bug larvae!

Palmarosa: Well known for its hydrating properties, and can assist in preventing inflammation and quelling dehydration. It also balances the sebum or oil production of your skin, aids in the healing of cuts and bruises, helps remedy acne breakouts, and is a natural bug repellant. The oil from the plant offers the best protection against mosquitoes. Research is beginning to show that palmarosa can be effective against mosquitoes for hours longer than most oils or oil blends. In fact, palmarosa was found to provide 100% protection against mosquitoes for 12 hours.

Coriander:  One of the most surprising benefits of coriander oil is in aiding emotional health. Used as aromatherapy, coriander can create calming and uplifting effects when you're feeling down. The aroma induces mental clarity and can provide you with the peaceful mind-set you seek. It’s an insect repellent for flies and mosquitoes.

Used aromatically for relaxation it reduces inflammation in skin conditions.  Because coriander has potentially antiseptic, anti-fungal and detoxifying properties, it's an option for soothing eczema, fungal infections, and allergic reactions on your skin.

Roman Chamomile:  is one of the most widely used medicinal plants in the western world. Roman chamomile may be best known for its hypnotic properties, which promote relaxation and helps induce sleep. Chamomile also has very strong antioxidant properties that are thought to help strengthen the immune system and is also heralded for its anti-inflammatory action. It can be used to help calm inflamed skin and to ease arthritis, headaches, sprains and muscle aches.

Jasmine: The jasmine flower has many medicinal uses orally, but for our topical purposes causes relaxation and is used as a sedative and to heighten sexual an aphrodisiac, and in cancer treatment.

Rose:  has strong antimicrobial properties. When applied topically, it can help to purify the complexion and boost skin health, hydrate dry skin, clear acne, reduce signs of aging, minimize the appearance of scars, and help with conditions such as eczema and rosacea.

The ingredients in the ferment also help to improve the skin's healing functions and giving it a healthier appearance.

Silicon Ferment:  is used in personal care products as a skin and hair conditioning agent, and it is also believed to have antioxidant properties.

Zinc Ferment: Known for enhancing the skin's ability to absorb moisture.
